10 days and 5 runs culminating in the Lancing College 10k on Sunday. Lovely to be pounding the pavements again after 2 weeks out with a cold and minor injury and I am thankful to still be able to complete a sub 48 10k. Can’t beat running on the south coast and a massive thanks to all those at parkrunuk coopukfood and lancingcollege10k for making these events special!

Today I took part in lancingcollege10k which is literally on my doorstep so it would have been rude not to. Today’s event had such a lovely local community vibe, seeing lots of friends and familiar faces which was just lovely. There was so much support on a lovely, albeit hilly course, especially from my hubby who was marshalling today. Always grateful for his support ❤️
Anyway, I set out with no expectation other than to just have an enjoyable run and get the miles in my legs. My calf has been giving me some attitude these last few weeks so wanted to keep the legs on side and happy to report...Mission accomplished ✔️ Happy with 51:04 and 19/278 Female and a huge boost in confidence ahead of #BM10k brightonmarathonweekend next week!

And that’s a wrap!! 12 races in 12 months completed for papyrus_uk Prevention of Young Suicide. 11 shiny medals (still annoyed that there was no medal for the very hilly bluebell wood trail run haha) It was hard, i had to run after falling down the stairs, when I was tired, when it had been insane at work, today when I feel so rough that I’m putting my self to bed at 2pm after a bath but I wasn’t going to not complete this. And a massive thank you to John for supporting me through every single one and being my personal cheerleader.
